Why we need you
To help customers make their purchases and provide excellent service to everyone who visits the shop.
What will I be doing?
- Talking to customers and making them feel welcome in the shop.
- Advising and helping people as they make purchases.
- Operating the till and dealing with various methods of payment.
- Answering customer enquiries.
- Keeping an eye on the security of the shop.
What skills do I need?
- The ability to get along with people and work as part of a team.
- Basic numeracy.
How much time do I need to commit?
- You can agree your hours with your manager who will try to be as flexible as possible.
- Many of our volunteers contribute one or two 4-hour shifts a week.
What support will I be given?
- We will provide all the training you need to feel confident in the role.
- The shop manager will be available to advise and assist you as you work in the shop.
- There may also be other experienced volunteers in the team who will be available when you need help or want to ask a question.
