Major giving and appeals

Recognising your support

Three scientists

We greatly value our supporters, and recognise their generosity in a variety of ways. These can include:

  • specific annual project updates highlighting the impact of your support
  • the opportunity to meet some of our world leading scientists and senior charity staff at lab tours, receptions and events
  • naming opportunities at our laboratories, with research fellowships and on equipment
  • bi-annual progress reports on our work
  • acknowledging gifts in our Annual Review or other publications.

Thank you

We would like to thank all of our major donors and charitable trusts whose generosity and commitment has made our life-saving work possible. Below is an example of one of our generous supporters:

We would like to thank The Freemasons’ Grand Charity for their very generous gift of £75,000 in support of Professor Neoptolemos’s TeloVac trial for people with advanced pancreatic cancer. The trial aims to add a new vaccine to standard chemotherapy treatment and create a new standard of care for the disease. We are incredibly grateful to the Freemasons for their commitment to our work.

"The funding of medical research is one of the core categories within the Grand Charity grant-making programme and we are very glad to be supporting Cancer Research UK with this trial to help people suffering from pancreatic cancer."

Laura Chapman, Chief Executive of The Freemasons’ Grand Charity.
