We are thrilled that Pure Gym have chosen us as their charity of the year and hope to raise an amazing £100,000 for Cancer Research UK over the next 12 months.
Based in Harrogate but with 29 fitness gyms all over the UK, Pure Gym is a growing company who have supported Cancer Research UK for six months and have become one of our strongest local business supporters. Since June 2011 they have raised a fantastic £30,000 for our life-saving work.
They have asked every new member who signs up to make a one off donation to Cancer Research UK when they join. They also plan to ask all existing 120,000 gym members across the UK to make a donation as well!
Pure Gym are really keen to see that the money their members donate is put to excellent use as soon as possible. So, Cancer Research UK is in the process of setting up a research project which they can fundraise directly for through our scheme My Projects.
This could be a piece of science or medical equipment or a special type of research project. This means they will be able to see each pound donated making a real difference. For more information please visit the MyProjects website.
