Why we need you:
Our shops contribute vital funds for Cancer Research UK’s scientific work but we would like to develop more fundraising activity to make the best use of our shop’s position on the high street.
What will I be doing?
- Working with the shop manager and volunteers to raise money for Cancer Research UK
- Selling branded products
- Organising shop based fundraising events and fun days
- Supporting and promoting other CR-UK events and activities
What skills and attributes do I need to have?
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Team working and networking ability
- Confidence
- Organisational skills
- Previous fundraising or sales skills would be useful but are not essential.
How much time do I need to commit?
The role is flexible but, as a guide, you should consider giving about 8 hours per week.
What support will I be given?
- Help and cooperation from your shop manager and fellow volunteers
- Materials, guidelines and information to help you in your fundraising
- Branded products to sell
