Why we need you:
We are looking for outgoing and proactive people with a good knowledge of their local community to help us raise money and awareness about Cancer research UK’s groundbreaking work.
What will I be doing?
- Placing and emptying collecting goblets in your local community
- Keeping an accurate record of goblet locations and money collected from each goblet
- Banking the collected donations Writing/giving certificates of thanks to supporters
- Recruiting other goblet collectors and individuals to support Cancer Research UK Promoting Cancer Research UK in your local community
What skills and attributes do I need to have?
- Good knowledge of your local community
- Outgoing, proactive and self-motivated
- Good communication skills
- Numerate with ability to keep accurate records
- Good administration skills
- Influencing and persuading skills
How much time do I need to commit?
As much or as little as you are able to give. As a volunteer you would be responsible for managing the hours that you give - the hours would be to suit your personal circumstances.
What support will I be given?
- We will give you full induction and training on all aspects of this role
- All appropriate materials to support your role including goblets, receipt book, record sheets, wraps, seals, thank you paper, certificates, identification and giro pay in book will be supplied by us
- A dedicated Area Volunteer Manager will be available to give you continuos support, advice and guidance

Where will I be based?
Most of your work will involve being out and about representing the charity in your local community but you may need to carry out some tasks from home.
