Volunteer in your local charity shop

How many of us read listen to music, bargain-hunt, watch films, socialise, shop, or dabble in fashion or interior design?

If this includes you, you probably know a thing or two, and are worth more than you realise! That’s why the Cancer Research UK shops would love you to volunteer your time and skills.

Could you spare some time to support your local shop?

Volunteers at one of our charity shops

We are always looking for more people to give us a hand, whose hidden talents may mean that they could help the store raise even more money and give a better service to their customers. Even if it's for just a few hours a week, whether it’s on the till, on the shop floor or behind the scenes. EVERY volunteer makes a difference.

Without the loyalty and dedication of our 16,500 volunteers, our shops wouldn't be the friendly and vibrant success that they are.

Volunteering is a great way to get involved

Volunteering can be really rewarding and you'll be making a positive contribution to the charity. Volunteering is also a great way of getting back to work after a break, meeting new friends or learning new skills.

Many of our shops offer the chance to gain an NVQ (National Vocational Qualification), and the experience always looks great on your CV.
