Ray volunteers in the book department of our Hemel Hempstead shop, where he selects suitable books for sale and ensures the book department is well presented.
Ray says: "I have been volunteering for Cancer Research UK for the past four years.
"I'm amazed how much I've learnt in that time, and how many new people I've developed friendships with – both volunteers and customers.
"It's so important for me to be able to offer a couple of hours a week to help fight cancer."
