What's involved

Our interns work across the charity

We offer placements in a wide range of areas, including fundraising, marketing, science information, communications, business development and human resources.

What you'll be doing

Our roles are based on organisational need, so no two internships are alike but we ensure you’ll get genuine responsibility on specific projects.

For example, you could be:

Group of interns

  • scoping a new idea or concept
  • creating and producing materials
  • co-ordinating internal or external communications
  • researching our marketplace
  • reviewing the way we work internally.

Benefits to you

You'll gain valuable work experience, develop new skills and learn how one of the UK’s largest charities is run. You'll also get:

  • training on CV writing and interview techniques
  • access to our internal vacancies during your internship
  • a reference on successful completion of your internship

A dedicated mentor will monitor your progress and help with personal development throughout the 12 weeks.
