His work explores the relationship between the formal and informal, and draws inspiration from both the architectural and natural world. He lists Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe, Russell Page, Roberto Burle-Marx and Dan Kiley among his design heroes.
Having gained a degree in Geography from Cambridge University and a postgraduate diploma in Landscape Architecture, Robert worked as a Director at Elizabeth Banks Associates.
His work there included designing many large public spaces and private gardens, including a new square and gardens at Southwark Cathedral, SE1 and the Duke of York Square on the King’s Road in Chelsea.
In 2006 he launched Robert Myers Associates. Robert continues to work on many high-profile private and public sector commissions.
He is currently working on a new city square at Cambridge Railway Station, major landscape projects at Hereford and Exeter Cathedrals, a new rose garden at the RHS Gardens, Wisley, as well as gardens and landscapes for private clients across the UK and abroad.
