Organising your Breakfast

What's involved?

Here's a quick guide to what's involved when you register to be a Britain's Biggest Breakfast host.

Decide on the size of your event

Decide who you would like to attend your Breakfast and how big you want your event to be.

Find a venue

You could hold your Breakfast at work, at home, in a local school or at a community centre.

Breakfast with colleagues

Set a date and time

You can have your Breakfast at any time of the day or year.

Invite your guests and promote your event

To make this really easy we’ve included invitations, posters and balloons in your fundraising pack.

Plan the Breakfast food

Follow our tips for preparing a healthy breakfast. Why not tell your local shop about the event and ask them to help with food donations?

Return the fundraising money

Remember to return the money you raise to Cancer Research UK. You can do this easily through the post or you can set up an online fundraising page so your guests can donate online.

Angela's story

In March 2004, Angela Campbell made breakfast for around 300 people and raised £1,710 just ten days after her grandfather died from cancer.

She then put plans in place for 2005 when she raised £2,710, followed by £3,840 in 2006.

Determined to increase the amount from year to year, Angela went on to do ‘Big Breakfast’ in March 2007 and raised an amazing £5,200.

Angela Campbell

From small beginnings, she now caters for anything from 300 – 500 people and is currently preparing for Britain's Biggest Breakfast 2008.
